Spondylose in dogs
Spondylose is an osteoarthritis in the vertebrae. There is a slow stiffening of one or more intervertebral joints. The vertebrae are connected by small bridges, which can make movement very painful or even impossible. Spondylose is most common in medium and large breeds of dogs in old age. Spondylose is often present in several places, so there can always be a sensitive place. Spondylose also sometimes occurs in combination with hip dysplasia and knee osteoarthritis.
